So, Tate is 1 year old.... two months ago :) He has loved being a walker and "talker". (he has really been babbling but I hate to call it that since it is so much more than "ba ba, da da" and all those other wonderful sounds babies make. He is really trying to communicate to us) He still never plays with toys but likes to put caps on things, ring door bells, go "woof woof" at the dogs, and help me cook. He is just about obsessed with our microwave and is always begging me to pick him up and let him play with it. He would open and close that thing for hours- and I am not kidding. He is also extremely close to running which is so adorable to watch since he pushes his less than small tummy out, waves one arm, and goes as fast as his legs can carry him right now. Which he loves until I carry him kicking all the way back home since he will never follow me back. He is such a cute kid and watching him grow always amazes me.
We were really lucky to celebrate his big day at Grandma and Grandpa Dickersons!
His birthday suit and traditional birthday hat- which he hated and stayed on in just enough time for a picture. Luckily he kept his diaper on
Pink Elephant "cake"- a Barnes tradition for birthdays
package from his grandma Barnes: old cell phones and remotes
Tate always holds onto Christopher's ears when he is up there- we love it
Tate loves to play with all the pots in our kitchen- then try to stand in them....
Happy late Birthday Tate! He is a cutie and looks just like you two!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!! What's with kids who don't like toys? If there's anything technological in the room, Rowen will find it. I wish they could be playing together more! His face has changed so much since Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe love you!
